LIBERTY TAX SERVICE OFFERS EXTENDED HOURS DURING “END OF TAX SEAS ON GRAND FINALE”

(Toronto, CA) Taxpayers who can’t sleep thinking about last minute tax filing can visit Liberty Tax Service during the company’s “Grand Finale.” As time ticks away until the May 1st deadline, participating Liberty Tax Service offices are open 24 hours from 7 a.m. Monday, May 1 st until midnight. “ The penalty for those not filing and paying tax liabilities on time is a late-filing penalty charge and compound interest starting May 1, 2006,” said John Hewitt, CE O of Liberty Tax Service. “The late-filing penalty is 5% of the balance owed for 2005, plus 1% of the balance owed each full month that the return is late for a total of 12 months.”
